Huge and magnificent, this tree made me particularly sad to
see how it had been chopped away to accommodate power lines. How beautiful it
might have been if allowed to grow to its full symmetry. At the same time, its
resilience and tenacity are inspiring: “Go ahead – chop away; I’m still here,
mostly just as beautiful.”
